Islamic architecture is always known for its dignified visual effects, which are dominated by domes and garlands. In the green province of Mazandaran and especially in Babol city, mosques, hosseiniyehs and bekaa motabreke are an integral part of the religious and traditional fabric of the society. The special climatic conditions of the northern region, including very high humidity, continuous rains during different seasons and variable sunlight, have necessitated the need for an engineering, modern and specialized approach in the construction of religious elements. The construction and execution of the metal domes of mosques in Babylon is known today as the most stable, lightest and economical solution of religious architecture. With years of practical experience, up-to-date technical knowledge and the use of advanced industrial equipment, Saheb Al-Zaman Dome and Garland Building has been able to implement outstanding projects in Babol city and all surrounding areas of Mazandaran province with the highest quality.
Traditional domes built with building materials, bricks and concrete, in addition to the heavy dead weight that multiplied the risk of earthquakes, faced with the torrential rains of Babylon after a few years, they suffered moisture penetration, tiling wear and structural destruction. To prevent these erosion costs, using the technology of steel domes, aluminum and electrostatic colored sheets is a fundamental choice. The construction and execution of the metal domes of mosques in Babylon, due to their exemplary resistance to moisture and oxidation, have completely replaced traditional domes and created an extraordinary balance between art, spirituality and engineering safety.
The importance and necessity of building metal domes in the climate of Babylon
Babol city, as one of the most populous and vast cultural centers of Mazandaran province, has a humid climate with high relative humidity in most months of the year. Continuous contact of building structures with dew, acid rains and soil moisture causes rapid decay of non-standard iron and broken clay tile glaze. Meanwhile, the construction and implementation of the metal domes of mosques in Babylon is a specialized response to the environmental threats of the region. Sahib Al-Zaman Dome and Garland Construction designs these structures taking into account the strong north winds, the amount of annual rainfall and the load caused by earthquakes in order to achieve the maximum structural efficiency.
Styling the structure of the roof of the mosque is one of the vital goals in modern civil engineering calculations. Metal domes transfer negligible dead load to the pillars and foundation of the mosque. This advantage, in addition to significantly reducing the costs of concrete infrastructure, increases the safety factor of worshipers to the highest possible level during unexpected events such as earthquakes. Saheb Al-Zaman dome and garland collection implements all its metal domes according to accurate software calculations and appropriate to the wind load and earthquake of Babylon, so that no form change or instability occurs over time.
Key advantages of building and implementing metal domes of mosques in Babylon
The increasing acceptance of the board of trustees of mosques and benefactors of Babol city of prefabricated and customized metal domes is due to the numerous advantages of this material compared to the old methods. These unique features offer long-term peace of mind to the custodians of blessed places:
Unique durability against rusting: the use of 304 stainless steel coatings and golden titanium in the construction and execution of the metal domes of mosques in Babylon means that rain and moisture do not harm the structure's polish and its beauty remains intact for decades.
High speed in construction and commissioning: the stages of drawing the chassis, cutting and forming the sheets are done in the dome and garland workshop of Sahib Al Zaman with precision rolling machines and then sent to the project site in Babylon; A process that advances the completion time of the mosque by months compared to traditional tiling.
Extraordinary variety in color and design: from salient Islamic designs, laser engravings and Koranic inscriptions to bright golden, silver, turquoise and religious green colors, all are applicable at the choice of the board of trustees.
Economic cost and elimination of maintenance costs: traditional domes need to be re-strapped every few years, replacement of frozen tiles and the bottom isogam. The construction and implementation of the metal domes of the mosques in Babylon completely removes these heavy periodic costs from the budget of the mosques.
Complete thermal and sound insulation: internal layers with polyurethane insulation foams or stone wool reduce the exchange of hot and cold air and prevent the noise of torrential rains from entering the mosque's nave.
Types of covers and sheets used in the metal dome
Choosing the type of top material is one of the most key steps in the final quality of the construction and implementation of the metal domes of mosques in Babylon. The weather conditions of each neighborhood in Babol, from urban areas to surrounding forest and summer areas such as Bandapi, Getab and Lale Abad, may require the selection of a special sheet. Sahib al-Zaman dome and garland use a full range of first-class materials in the market:
Golden and silver stainless steel sheets with grade 304 are considered as the most popular option for the dome of the northern mosques. Due to the high percentage of chromium and nickel, these sheets are never oxidized, they are not cloudy and they reflect the sun's rays with an eye-catching glory.
Formed aluminum sheets with electrostatic furnace paint are a light and extremely durable option for projects with a managed budget that have a high variety of colors and will not suffer from brittleness due to sudden cold and heat.
Formed galvanized sheets with static powder coating and clear polyester protective layer are also used for special openings and custom knotting designs. All cutting works in Saheb Al-Zaman dome and garland workshop are done by industrial lasers so that the edges are not pleated and prone to rusting.
Step by step construction and implementation of metal domes of mosques in Babylon
The design and installation of the dome on the roof of the nave requires a step-by-step implementation methodology and continuous engineering supervision. Saheb Al-Zaman Dome and Garland Construction, by developing an organized implementation protocol, makes all phases of the construction and implementation of metal domes of mosques in Babylon operational with the greatest accuracy and speed:
The first step is to take dimensions and expertise at the project site. Technical experts visit the mosque site in Babol city or nearby villages and measure the diameter of the opening of the dome seat, the proposed height and the strength of the columns and the roof to prepare a three-dimensional design in harmony with the overall view of the mosque.
The second step is designing the engineering map and computer simulation. In this section, the form of the structure is examined in terms of slope, transversal curvature, and how to resist the storm, and the details of the skeleton connections are determined.
The third step is the construction of the metal frame and chassis in the workshop. The frame of the structure is made with standard cans, belts and industrial angles. All welding points are implemented with advanced techniques and the entire skeleton is covered with two coats of epoxy paint or industrial rust so that even the air inside the dome does not corrode the metal.
The fourth step is covering the bottom layer and insulation. Formed sheets are placed on the frame and suitable insulations are placed to minimize heat and sound exchange and the structure is completely sealed.
The fifth step is to install the final sheets and decorations. At this stage, the golden steel sheets, the inscriptions of the blessed names of Ahl al-Bayt and Allahu Akbar, along with slim designs, are mounted on the outer shell.
The sixth step is transportation to Babylon and installation with standard cranes. Under the guidance of the executive team of Sahibul Zaman dome and garland making, the ready dome is placed on the mosque's coil ring and is connected and locked to the main skeleton of the building with specialized bolts and welds. In the final stage, all the seams are sealed with the help of mastic and ultraviolet waterproof polyurethane adhesives to make it impossible for even a drop of water to penetrate.
Factors affecting the price and cost of implementing the metal dome in Babylon
Estimating costs accurately is one of the important priorities of trustees, charity founders and mosque attendants. In the project of construction and implementation of metal domes of mosques in Babylon, various technical parameters affect the determination of the final cost. Saheb Al-Zaman Dome and Garland Construction is always trying to provide the fairest prices with a written guarantee by eliminating intermediaries and providing raw sheets directly from the main sources.
The diameter of the opening and the height of the dome: Of course, with the increase in the diameter of the dome, the weight of the skeleton, the amount of sheet used, and the amount of rolling and welding work increases, which directly affects the final price.
Grade and type of used sheet: Using 304 gold titanium stainless steel sheet is more expensive than ordinary aluminum or galvanized sheets, but its 100% stability in the humid climate of Babylon justifies this price difference.
The level of artistic sophistication and inscriptions: the addition of Quranic inscriptions, entrance moqrans under the dome, traditional knotting or built-in lighting in the body of the dome, changes the duration of use of the artistic salary.
The conditions of the installation site and lifting equipment: the height of the floors of the mosque from the ground level, the access of the trolley to carry the parts and the need for heavy cranes in the alley or street in question in Babol are secondary factors in calculating the implementation costs.

Maintenance, washing and long-term stability of metal domes in the North
One of the constant concerns in northern cities is the deposition of dust, environmental fats, and bird droppings on buildings, which require annual scaffolding costs to clean concrete surfaces and tiles. The construction and implementation of the metal domes of mosques in Babylon with the features of nanopolishing of polished sheets has solved this concern. The slipperiness of the metal surfaces causes that every time the Babylon washing rains fall, most of the dust and stains are automatically washed from the inclined surface and the original shine is revealed again.
Also, the sheets used by Sahib Al-Zaman dome and garlands have anti-algae properties; The problem that plagues stone and cement facades due to the constant humidity of Babylon, will never be seen on these metals with nano layers. Complete resistance to the ultraviolet rays of the sun also guarantees that the golden or turquoise color of the body does not change its spectrum in the hottest days of August and shines like the first day of installation for years in a row.
